Sanem Korkmaz Kumru, LL.M.
Sanem Korkmaz Kumru graduated from Ankara Tevfik Fikret High School in 2002 and earned her law degree from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2007. During her legal studies, she broadened her international perspective by undertaking a one-year Spanish law course at Facultad Libre de Derecho in Mexico (2003–2004) through the Rotary Club Cultural Exchange Program.
Following her undergraduate studies, Korkmaz Kumru moved to the United Kingdom, where she completed an Academic English program at University College London. She then earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Trade Law from King’s College London.
Upon her return to Türkiye, she served as both an executive and legal counsel at a company engaged in foreign trade; specializing particularly in international contracts, commercial law, and corporate law. Since 2019, she has also focused extensively on energy law, further deepening her expertise in this field.
In 2025, she founded EnerLex Law Firm in Ankara, providing strategic legal consultancy to companies operating on both national and international scales, with a primary focus on energy and commercial law.
Sanem Korkmaz Kumru possesses professional-level English proficiency and also knows French and Spanish. Her multilingual communication skills enable effective representation and smooth negotiations in international legal proceedings.
